I often hear people saying that there are not any "good" houses to build equity with and that "the builders buy them all up" - I hear many different versions of this complaint. Well, I have something for you if you want to take on a project that would not be overwhelming or would require tens of thousands of dollars and simultaneously allow you to build that equity. Let me tell you what has recently been done: the whole kitchen including all appliances; driveway; garage; walk way; porch; awning and railing; siding; shutters; new drywall in all but one area; windows are Anderson; doors purchased; newer door wall to the large yard; furnace; hot water tank; A/C and electrical all recently re-done (the seller was a master electrician). What was not done was taping, mudding & painting; (the living room is finished); refinishing the hardwood floors and replacing the shoe molding; the bath has original fixtures.
